The Minami Tamaki LLP law firm has named Seema Bhatt as Partner, effective January 1, 2025. Seema joined the firm in January 2016 and leads the firm's personal injury practice, succeeding B. Mark Fong, who retired on December 31, 2024.

“We are thrilled to have Seema join the partnership,” said Managing Partner Sean Tamura-Sato. “Seema's skill and tenacity have led to outstanding results for our clients, and her dedication to helping those in need exemplifies the spirit of Minami Tamaki. We look forward to Seema continuing to elevate the Personal Injury Group through her vision and leadership.”

In addition to Sean, the firm's other Partners are Olivia Serene Lee and Suhi Koizumi. Dale Minami and Donald K. Tamaki serve as Senior Counsel.

“I am deeply grateful to Sean, Olivia, and Suhi for welcoming me into the firm's partnership,” said Seema. “It's an honor to lead a personal injury practice rooted in the legacy of Dale Minami and supported by an extraordinary team, including Associate Ember Oparowski, Senior Paralegal Erica Sullivan, Paralegal Brian Edgar, Legal Secretary Elise Everett, and Case Assistant Matt Weimer. Together, we are committed to delivering justice for our clients and carrying forward the values that define this firm.”

Seema has practiced personal injury law for 14 years, garnering numerous awards and playing a key role in high-profile cases, including complex litigation against Tesla. She was recently featured on KRON4, The San Jose Mercury News, and India-West for her work on a notable wrongful death case involving a young girl who was killed by a suspected intoxicated driver.

Seema was selected as a Northern California Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2017 to 2024. She was also named to the Best Lawyers: Ones To Watch list from 2021 to 2024. Several of her cases were recognized by Top Verdict's Top 100 Settlements in California in 2016 and by Leaders in the Law in its 2017 “Northern California's Leading Lawyers” publication. The Best Lawyers “Best Law Firms” list ranked the firm's personal injury practice as Tier 1 for the past 11 years.

Seema is a former board member of the South Asian Bar Association of Northern California and a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, the Asian American Bar Association, and Consumer Attorneys of California.

Seema graduated from Wake Forest Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and cum laude from U.C. Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She speaks several Indian languages including Hindi and Gujarati.
