Shilpi Banerjee is an Associate in Minami Tamaki LLP's Immigration Practice Group.
A licensed immigration attorney, Shilpi is admitted to practice law in California and Colorado and a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
Prior to joining Minami Tamaki LLP, Shilpi practiced at her own business immigration law firm, specializing in extraordinary ability O-1A and EB-1A visas for startup founders. She was also an attorney for more than eight years at a boutique business immigration law firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. She secured U.S. visas and permanent residence (green cards) for startup founders, research scientists, company executives, managers, and professionals in a variety of industries.
Shilpi is an immigrant herself and moved to the United States from her hometown in New Delhi, India. As a first-generation American and immigration attorney, she brings a unique perspective and empathy for clients navigating the intricacies of the U.S. immigration system.
She earned a J.D. degree from the University of Colorado School of Law in Boulder, Colorado. In addition, she has a Master's degree in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics, India, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi, India.
