Bethany Caracuzzo is an associate in our civil litigation and employment group in our San Francisco office. She was admitted to the California Bar in 1997 and has also been admitted to the Massachusetts Bar (inactive.)

Ms. Caracuzzo began her legal career at the San Diego County District Attorney's Office conducting daily hearings in the child support division. She then moved to the Bay Area to work as a legal research attorney for the Alameda County Superior Court's busy law and motion department. This position exposed her to various areas of the law and a wide range of legal issues, ranging from employment, premises liability, eminent domain, contract disputes, unlawful detainer, construction defect and general negligence cases.

After almost three years with the Alameda County Superior Court, Ms. Caracuzzo practiced at an established plaintiff's-side litigation firm here in San Francisco where she specialized in personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability cases. She has litigated and obtained favorable settlements for cases involving medical malpractice, defective products, dangerous condition of public property, pharmaceuticals, motor vehicle accidents, legal malpractice, violations of civil rights, clergy sexual abuse, and participated in cutting edge litigation involving malpractice occurring in the arena of In Vitro Fertilization ("IVF") procedures.

Ms. Caracuzzo received her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Boston College and completed her juris doctor in just 2 years at California Western School of Law. While at Calwestern, she received the Wiley Manuel Pro Bono Award for her work with the San Diego AIDS Foundation Project. She is a member of the San Francisco Bar Association, Alameda County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, Women's Law Group of the CAOC, and Queen's Bench.
