Experienced Immigration Paralegal

We are seeking experienced (2+ years) paralegals with a passion for immigration law and working with people from around the world. Only well-qualified applicants will be considered.

Responsibilities may include assisting our attorneys in preparing non-immigrant and/or immigrant visa petitions, applications for adjustment of status (family and employment), consular forms, and PERM applications. We will consider paralegals who have experience in IV or NIV. PERM experience is strongly preferred.

Requirements: BS/BA degree and high-volume business immigration-related paralegal experience, including working with volume employment-based PERM and/or non-immigrant categories (H-1B, TN, E-3, etc.). Experience preparing O-1, L-1, IV matters or Consular filings as well as family-based petitions and applications is a plus.

Ideal candidates must be detail-oriented; be able to provide rapid yet accurate responses to clients and team members and prioritize and multi-task; possess excellent organizational and time management skills, and English communication skills as well as experience in Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro. Candidates must enjoy working in a team environment. Experience with LawLogix is a plus. In return, we offer a warm, collegial environment and an excellent benefits package.

Salary range: $50,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience.


Accounting Clerk – Part Time

We are seeking an experienced (1+ years) accounting clerk. Only qualified applicants will be considered.

Duties: Perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in an accounting department including but not limited to:

  • Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs (ProLaw).
  • Scan and save documents.
  • Process billing.
  • Reconcile records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
  • Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate questionable data.

Skills:

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook. Organizational, verbal and written communication skills a must.
  • Accuracy in data entry.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

We would like at minimum 15-20 hours per week. Schedule is flexible, but prefer regular fixed days and times. On occasion, may be required to work additional hours due to time off coverage or seasonal upswing in work volume. The salary range we are offering is between $18 and $20 per hour, depending on experience.
