Judy H. Wong is an Associate with Minami Tamaki LLP in our Immigration Practice Group.
Judy focuses her practice on advising companies on U.S. employment-based immigration law and assisting applicants with family-based immigration matters, and naturalization. Judy is experienced in conducting comprehensive analyses of cases to ensure clients meet the applicable visa requirements, including compliance with immigration rules, regulations and policies. She works closely with clients/applicants to ensure their complete understanding of the visa process.
Prior to joining Minami Tamaki as an Associate, Judy worked with an immigration law firm where she managed a diverse immigration caseload. She provided legal advice and strategy pertaining to nonimmigrant visa petitions and permanent residency applications to corporate clients, including Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, she has leveraged her previous experience with immigration visa matters as a Legal Writer and Paralegal to manage and oversea cases while working within strict timelines.
Previously, Judy served as a Post-Bar Fellow and a Summer Law Clerk at the Asian Law Alliance, where she assisted clients with various immigration matters, including U-visa, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) cases as well as N-400 citizenship workshops.
Judy received her B.A. in Asian American Studies and Political Science from the University of California, Davis. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2016, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She currently serves as Media Co-Liaison on the Advisory Council for AILA’s Northern California Chapter.
