David Palmer is an Associate in Minami Tamaki LLP’s Immigration Practice Group. He works to help U.S. companies and nonprofits hire and employ foreign nationals with expertise in engineering, technology, science, healthcare, business specialties, and the arts. David has more than a decade of experience as an immigration attorney with a focus on representing startups and technology firms in the Bay Area.
David is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s Northern California Chapter and has served on its Advisory Council since 2009, currently as the American Immigration Council Ambassador. He was selected as a Northern California Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2017 and 2018.
David graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2008 and admitted to the State Bar of California in 2008. He served as Symposium Editor for the Hastings Constitution Law Quarterly, received the CALI and Witkin Award for Immigration Law, and participated in the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic. He also served as a Legal Research Attorney at the Superior Court of California in San Francisco and was an intern with the California Attorney General’s Honor Program.
He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2001.
