Magazine Names Dale Minami to Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America List

SAN FRANCISCO (Sept. 21, 2005) - Lawdragon Magazine has named Dale Minami of Minami Tamaki LLP to its Lawdragon 500 list of the best lawyers and judges practicing today.

Published quarterly, Lawdragon magazine (www.lawdragon.com) was founded by former reporters and editors of the Daily Journal. The publication takes a provocative look at the personalities and practices driving today's legal community. Inclusion in the Lawdragon 500 is based on votes submitted to the publication's web site or from feedback sent to Lawdragon reporters from clients, judges and attorneys across geographic and practice-area divisions.

Lawdragon then conducts independent research on the information submitted and compiles the list. The magazine's editorial staff and advisory board also review the votes to ensure the credibility of each entry and to ensure the breadth and depth of each practice area and geographic region has been maintained.

"San Francisco's Dale Minami specializes in entertainment and personal injury law, but is best known for his civil rights work on behalf of Asian Americans," wrote the magazine. "This veteran's practice runs from Kristi Yamaguchi to preventing civil rights abuses after 9/11."

Minami has been involved in significant personal injury, products liability and wrongful death claims over the last 30 years with substantial verdicts or settlements. He also represents clients in the entertainment industry including CNN's Erica Hill; KPIX's morning anchor, Sydnie Kohara, and reporters Anna Duckworth and Simon Perez; KGO's Carolyn Tyler and Heather Ishimaru; KRON's Wendy Tokuda; playwright Philip Kan Gotanda; and Oscar-awarded film maker Steven Okazaki.

Founded in 1974, Minami Tamaki LLP has offices in San Francisco and Silicon Valley (Los Gatos). As a small firm with the resources and experience to litigate major lawsuits, Minami Tamaki LLP also specializes in real estate, personal injury, criminal defense, family law and estate planning.
